About Me:	Coffey grew up in Bangs, TX. He got saved at the young age of 10 years old, but made Jesus the Lord of his life at 16 years of age. Coffey preached the "5th Quarter" services to his peers while in high school, seeing many of his classmates get saved, and started a lunch Bible study that would impact the whole school. At 18, Coffey was involved in a prison ministry where he would go in, sing, and preach to incarcerated people that were seeking and searching for a second chance at life and a new life in Christ. He preached in over 15 different prisons in 7 different states. All before he turning 19 years of age. Coffey turned down many basketball scholarships to state universities attend a small Baptist college, Howard Payne University, and get a degree in ministry. While at HPU, he touched a guitar for the first time in 2002 and hasn\'t put it down since. Coffey began learning Vineyard worship and traditional hymns at an accelerated gifted pace. He would sing and play and the dorm would fill up and the college bible study groups started asking him to lead their groups in worship. Within 3 months, Coffey was asked to open for the likes Open of Eden, Mercy Me, Skillet, and others for the college festivals. He would sing the National Anthem at basketball games, then do "jump ball" for the college basketball team. His blend of traditional hymns, contemporary worship, and his gospel soul make worship valid and relevant for many congregations. He got his Bachelor of Arts degree in Practical Theology with a Spanish specialization. Coffey lived in Nuevo Leon, Mexico and attended Tec de Monterrey for a summer course to learn Spanish and become affluent. Coffey is located in Los Angeles where he serves with Matthew Barnett at The Dream Center. Coffey is educated in ministry, but his heart to reach the world for Christ using all of his gifts. Preaching, speaking, telling funny stories, and of course singing. The world is yours and everything in itâ�¦Go get it!

“Dear Coffey, I am a member of the tangle christian website, and I too like you are a musician. I play keyboards and recently have wanted to learn some up to date songs that I could learn how to play. I am self taught so I learn by ear. It is a gift that the Lord has blessed me with and I thank God for it because I have never been formerly trained to read music but I do know my basic chords in all twelve scales of the keyboard. What I lack in the ability to be able to read on paper I can still accomplish by using the gift of hearing to play worship songs on my keyboard.

Because I learn by ear I want to thank you for posting your songs on line and calling out the chord structures to them. All I have to do is listen to the rythm of the song and hear the chord structure that you call out. It comes sepecially easy for me to learn the songs when I can both hear the way the song flows and know the chord sructure like you call them out and demonstrate them in your videos.

So thank you for being such a blessing and taking the time out to teach your music too. I will soon be able to play and add several new worship songs to my old out of date song list that has needed updating for a very long time. God bless you and every song that the Lord blesses you to play for him on his behalf wherever he takes you, to bring him glory and honor!

PS. could you make a video on how to make and post videos like yours, so I too could share my gift of music with others, as you do with so many for God. It has been my dream to be able to know how to make a simple video and share it on you tube or tangle but I dont know how.”
