Compassion International to partner with Rachel Scott

Rachel Scott to join Compassion Internationalâs Independent Artists Network



COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO., October 30, 2008 â Compassion International today announced a new partnership with independent artist Rachel Scott. As a member of Compassionâs Independent Artists Network Rachel joins a growing number of artists who are lending their voice to children in need. As a ministry Compassion International has partnered with Christian musicians, including Michael W. Smith, Jeremy Camp, Rebecca St. James for over 20 years.

About Rachel Scott

Rachel Scott is an artist who was content with never becoming one. A classically trained vocalist Rachel had released one album (Home to Me) before shifting her focus and time to her three sons. âMy kids are a priority, so if itâs them or the music â they come first.â Rachel continued to use her vocal gifts statewide and in worship or special music at King of Kings Church in Omaha, NE where she and her husband Greg attend. Greg on staff at King of Kings, created a youth video that used a Dave Lubben worship song (worship leader, Integrity Records), and as a thank you, sent it to Lubben. It was through this act that Rachel was âdiscovered.â Scottâs husband and Mr. Lubben had entered into a series of dialogues that led to Rachel and her music. Dave recognized Rachelâs talent and offered her the opportunity to sign with Tent Creative Group which he owns and manages. âThe way (the signing) came about was really spontaneous and out of the blue,â Rachel said âhe (Dave) was excited to work with us and we didnât seek that out!â Rachelâs new CD (Resolution) released in September of 2008 and is a testament to the talent Lubben heard on that first recording. Strong songwriting and a dynamic voice leave no doubt that Rachel Scott is an artist with unlimited potential.
