“My Father,
As I sit here this morning it is the day before Thanksgiving and I realize that You have been so good to this nation and its people. But we as a nation have turned against You. I believe tomorrow would be a good day for all your children to stop and reflect on the things You have done for them this past year. For many of us it has been a year of changes. Many of us have faced heartache of losing loved ones, homes, jobs, sickness and we face an uncertain future this coming year. But as I look back I have many things to thank You for. I have the assurance of my salvation. I have the promise that You will never leave me or forsake me. I have the knowledge that I will see my loved ones again and that our separation is only temporary. These are all things I want to thank You for. But most of all I want to thank You for being You Someone I can lean on and cling to in times of heartache and trouble and know You are always there and You always care and listen to me. I thank You for Your love for me and all Your children. The world does not know or understand this and I ask that you use me to show Your love for them through me so You will be glorified. I want to thank You most of all for Jesus who willing came and took our place so we could have a relationship with You. This is true love, and I thank You for it. In Jesus Name Amen.”
