Hi All.

Hope this finds you well and breathing in the smell of fall in the air.

So up here in Canada we are in full fall swing, most every leaf is a shade of gold or red. It is such a wonderful time of year and as you can imagine in Canada... after fall comes.... uh oh.. yes, that's right. W I N T E R!!! And I don't mean some wimpy tennessee winter, I mean, double you over, dig out of your driveway, nose hairs freezing winter. So, as all canadians do in the fall, we have spent every available moment outside in the sun, drinking the last bit of fall in before all of those drops start to freeze:-)

We are especially enjoying life with all our animals...as I've mentioned before we have 2 dogs (hershey and cocoa) our cat butterfly, 2 hamsters.. little grey and fuzz and don't forget our two remaining chickens who refuse to die... buck and annie.

Yesterday, we were doing some work, winterizing the place and there we all were outside (except little grey and fuzz of course) hanging out by the barn (did I mention that our chickens as of the last month are free range) so the dogs, the cat and the chickens and us are all outside hanging out in harmony.. I was quite amazed that none of them were afraid or offended each other.

I guess my point to this ramble is that I was thinking... we have to enjoy these moments..you never know when life may take a turn and things aren't so simple anymore.. or someone in your life is gone and the dynamic of life changes. I am so thankful to know that God is always with us in whatever we are walking through. I hope we believe that. I think we do and we don't.

In Mark 9 24. when the man approached jesus to heal his son ....... and Jesus said "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes". Immediately the father said Lord, I believe, Help my unbelief! Desperation and honesty. I use to think we had to believe in the healing.. but I think it is the "healer" and not the "healing" that we must seek.

God is good.

Cindy

Beautifully said, Cindy. So often many of us, including myself are guilty of seeking the gift and not the giver... And in so doing, we treat God like a pros%%@ute, demanding that he fulfill our pleasures rather than us being willing to fulfill his... He is worthy. We are not.
