"KASPCo.," (Kerley Art Studios & Publishing Co.) is the name of the organization under which, I am pubishing my music and has been a non-profit venture of mine for many years. Mainly I have published on the internet thus far, with a little desktop publishing in the past. "Kerley" is my maiden name and I use it in my artwork and music as, "MC Kerley." I used it to honor my birthfather. His mother and her mother were both named, "Mary Catherine." So I am sort of Mary Catherine the third and Mary Catherine Kerley, the second. But hey, my friends call me, "Cathy." It suits me better than "Catherine," which is what my family called me. In my poetry I use a pen name. I got the first part of the name in a dream years ago. It was very meaningful to me when I looked it up. That name was "Marilyn Renee." I added the last name of one of my favorite artists and thus, "Marilyn Renee Monet" became the pen name for my poetry and some of my other creative writing. Hey, what can I say? Our God is a god of names. He uses many names to describe the many parts of his character and the unlimited ways in which, he can bless our lives. He even promises to give us new name(s) in heaven written on stones (probably gemstones), which only He knows. How romantic is that? Is our God not awesome? Be greatly blessed through Christ Jesus!
