| About Me: | Claude G. Henderson was born on November 23, 1958. Minister Henderson was the twelfth child born out of fifteen siblings. At the age of seven C. G. Henderson joined New St. Peter Rock M.B. Church, and he also joined the choir. Minister Henderson has always loved singing gospel songs even as a little boy. Also at the age of seven years old Minister Henderson was shot in the mouth and came very close death. His mother and his family prayed for him constantly to recover from this accident. When Minister Henderson recovered from this accident, he went on to seek a dancing career at the age of twelve. It was happy and enjoyable experience for him. Minister Henderson again met death face to face at the age of sixteen. He was shot two inches from the heart, again the power of prayer brought him through. At the age of twenty-one Minister Henderson went on to become a professional dancer with a group called, "The St. Louis Rockets" and another group called "Thirty three and a Third Force Dancers". As a result of his dancing career, he won money, trophies, and made headline in the paper in 1985. Minister Henderson went through several bad relationships in his life. He was meeting women in bars and married them which turned out to be a very unhappy union. Minister Henderson was looking for love in all the wrong places which is very common for the most of us. In 1996, Minister Henderson accepted his calling as a minister of the word of God. He preached his first sermon on November 24, 1996 at the Mount Gideon Church under the authority of Pastor Houston. Minister Henderson\'s father M.L. Bernette sung with a quartet group called the "William Singers". His Father and Reverend Vonds both suggested that he join the singing group called "The Victoraires" at the age of twenty-three. He joined and sung gospel with that group for three years. He then went on from there and joined another gospel group called, "The Shining Stars" and sang with them for twenty six years. They sang at places like the Fox Theatre, Kiel Auditorium, (now called The Scott Trade Center) Chase Park Plaza, The Baptist Building, and as well as several out of town engagements. In 1999, God blessed C.G. Henderson to become a solo gospel artist. In 2004, C.G. Henderson accepted a one year contract with Jireh Records under the Leadership and guidance of Pastor Stephen Hamilton who is the president of Jireh Records. Minister C.G. Henderson is now working with Bryon Shields owner of BKS Records and Cliff Moton Producer. His new CD, "I\'ve Been Born Again" will be available for purchase Spring 2010. Minister Henderson thanks God for his christian mother Mrs. Beulah Mae Henderson and her constant prayers for him. His mother has been deceased now for over five years, but he remembers her saying, "Son you can\'t serve the world and God, you must make up your mind." Well his mind is made up and he has chosen to serve God and not the world! |
