Praise God for you â and that's not lip service â I MEAN it.



Tomorrow I'll be flying to Dallas for a series of meetings with regard to the film's production, and prayer and planning meetings with my executive team.



While I'm there, I'll do several interviews re the film with local media. And in my down time while there I'll be working on the script, fine-tuning and polishing, finer and finer. And when I'm not in planning meetings, in prayer meetings, doing media or working on the script, I'll be at the nearest gym getting in better and better shape for the actual filming⦠Getting the picture?



Yes, life has become all about this film vision. It's actually been all about it for many years now, but ever since the launch a few weeks ago, things have jettisoned into a whole new pace â a pace that is exciting and equally challenging. BUT, it's a pace that will take us straight to that breathtaking day when we will all sit in a theater somewhere, the lights will go down, and the words will rise on the screen, JESUS⦠NO GREATER LOVE.



If I can put it this way, I "live" for that day. It will be on that day and in that moment that all the challenges and struggles over the several years that I've been carrying this vision will come together and seem a very tiny price to pay. Price for what, you say? That first, most precious soul coming to Jesus.



JESUS⦠NO GREATER LOVE is all about one thing (over-simplifying, of course): SOULS. It's not about packing theaters with Christians. It's not about "family friendly entertainment." It's not even about "changing Hollywood" â except in the sense that Hollywood is a town filled with souls who need Jesus, and they will surely find him, for it is he/she who seeks that finds him, glory to Jesus!



Yes, there will be that moment when the lights go down and the screen lights up. That will be very wonderful. But as I sit here typing it hits me â that's not the "big" moment. That's not the victory moment. That's not the moment that makes all the sweat, tears and sacrifice worth itâ¦



The moment that is all that and then some is the moment that first most precious soul watching the screen opens wide to the love of Jesus. Yes, that is the moment â the moment for which I'm in this for the long haul, no matter what it takes.



I will never forget many years ago, I was speaking in an Afrikaans church in Pretoria, South Africa. It was one of those times when I'd been going hard and was entirely wiped out â and as many of you know, it's in those times that you begin to question your life choices and all.



Well, no time to indulge that, as I was standing before a crowd sharing Jesus. I can remember now, it was February 1996. After I finished the pastor gave a salvation invitation â and the response was simply overwhelming.



I remember seeing a father and son come forward together, a teenage girl and her grandmother⦠There were many souls saved that day and those sights were just so filled with truth, if I can phrase it that way, that I just dropped to my face, right there in the church, and started crying before God. It was just so overwhelming â and one of those times when you're flooded with clear and precise understanding of what truly is the most significant thing in life.



And only one phrase kept coming to me, over and over â and I just kept repeating it over and over⦠"Lord, give me souls for my inheritance. Souls, Lord, soulsâ¦" it's a day and moment I'll never forget â one of those after which life is never quite the same.



And so here we are â togethter. Yes, that's why I began this writing saying I praise God for you who are walking this road with me â your eyes equally riveted on what is most precious, right alongside me. Every one of you â thank you.



The day will come â we will see great victory. The victory will not be mine, or even ours. The victory will be entirely his, for "unless the Lord builds a house it's laborers toil in vain." The victory will be his all the way â his and the precious souls whom he calls through JESUS⦠NO GREATER LOVE.



Precious, precious, most precious souls. We stand together, we move together, we look to Jesus unto that most worthy goal, that most momentous day. Glory to the name of Jesus!
