  “God gave me that once when I was married to my late husband that would drink himself into being a blind drunk, a child, someone who talked in several different voices, who would stay drunk 7-8 days a running, when I wanted to treat him with disgust one Sunday morning as I was hurrying to leave to go to Sunday School. The Lord said, "Why don't you turn around and treat your husband as a person instead of a hung over old bum?" So I did, and then after a few minutes he told me I better hurry or I'd miss church. A friend was waiting in the hall with a framed plaque that said, "Love believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." Awk! Elisabeth Elliott said on the radio about that time, "When Jesus said, 'In as much as you have done it to the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me,' "He might as well have said, 'In as much as you've done it unto the Worst of these, my brethren, you've done it unto me.'"”
