Director of Sales

Chicago, IL (territory also includes: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, Indiana, & Ohio)

Overview:

Prospect, negotiate and close advertising partnerships within assigned territories, resulting in maximized revenue and business expansion for tangle.

Responsibilities:

  • Using internal prospecting tools, networking groups, internet, media contacts and other avenues, research and secure appointments with potential F1000 businesses, focusing on tangle’s product offerings in advertising, marketing, and research services.
  • With a consultative sales approach, conduct value-building needs analysis with business clients, and collaborate with tangle departments in creating/presenting proposals leveraging tangle’s proprietary technologies and customizable products.
  • Build and maintain open communication lines with key tangle departments to stay current with company products, services, technology and promotions.
  • Drive strategy, negotiate and finalize partnership terms, and close business deals to meet individual and tangle department sales goals.
  • Cultivate new business partnerships and grow existing accounts. Demonstrate understanding of business challenges, make recommendations, and tailor strategies to help clients achieve and improve their business goals.
  • Submit weekly reports covering status of funnels, appointments, pending and current leads, and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 5-7 years experience in business-to-business sales, including prospecting, negotiating and closing deals.
  • Demonstrated success in consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Must be skilled in analyzing potential revenue-generating opportunities, along with creating proposals/presentations for internal and external clients.
  • Must have current contacts and previous experience dealing with C-level clientele.
  • Previous experience working within the Internet media industry is preferred.
