What is the landing page? How do I get there?

The landing page is where you control and manage all of your settings and content on tangle. It is essentially your personal home page on tangle. This is the page you are taken to when you log into tangle.

Once you are logged in, you can get back to this page by scrolling over your profile photo in the tangle header and clicking Home, located next to your active profile. If you want to go to the landing page of a different account, you must first click Switch to activate that account.

Take some time to click around the landing page and familiarize yourself with it. This is the best way to learn all the features you can control!

What if I don't receive my confirmation email?

If you believe you have not received a confirmation email confirming your newly created tangle.com account, first make sure you have checked both your email inbox and your junk mail folder. If you still can't find it, please contact us.

How do I update the info on my page?

There are two ways to update your profile information.

To start from the landing page, use the following steps:

1. Log into your account using the field in the top right corner of the homepage.
2. From your landing page, click the Manage Profile button located to the right of your profile picture.
3. Change the necessary information.
4. Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.

To start from your profile page, use the following steps:

1. Click the Settings button located below your profile photo. This will take you to the Settings page.
2. Change the necessary information.
3. Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.

How do I add friends?

There are several ways to find and add friends:

1. Search for a particular member using the search field at the top of each page. Select People from the search field, enter the person's name and click Search.
2. Click on the People tab in the tangle header to browse through millions of our community members.
3. After viewing a video, click on the username of the person who owns the video to view their profile.

In each instance, once you are on the member's profile page, click the Add Friend button, located on the left below their profile photo and follow the instructions.

How do I invite friends to tangle?

Log in and go to your landing page. Just below your status update you'll see an orange Invite Friends button. Click here and fill in the names and email addresses of those you want to invite. This will send them an email from tangle letting them know that you want them to join our community and to add you as their first friend!

How do I add a photo to my profile?

To add a photo to your profile:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Scroll over the Photos tab in the tangle header and click Upload Photos.
3. Click the Browse... button near the bottom of the Photos page to search your computer for the photo you want to add.
4. Once you have found the photo, click the Open button in the file browser.
5. If you want to give your photo a title or brief description, you can add it in the text box labeled Title.
6. When you are finished, click the Upload button.

Please give our admin. team time to review the photo before it appears on your page.

How do I add/change my profile photo?

To start from your landing page, use the following steps:

1. Log into your account.
2. From your landing page, click the Manage Profile button located to the right of your profile photo.
3. At the top of the Settings page are options for you to change one of your existing photos to be your profile photo by clicking Set. You should immediately see your updated profile photo. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

How do I read messages that have been sent to me?

Once you log in, you will see a button in the tangle header labeled Inbox. From here, you will have access to your message center, allowing you to check incoming messages, send outgoing messages, save message drafts for later and manage your friend requests. You can either click the Inbox icon to go to your message center or you can choose a specific destination by scrolling over the icon and choosing a direct link.

How do I add videos to my favorites?

You can add videos to your Favorite Videos tab by first logging into your account. When you find a video you like anywhere across the site, click on the Add to Favorites button, located below the video. You can also click the Add button in the video window after the video has played.

To add a video directly from a group playlist, simply click the Add button located in the information panel to the left of the video in the media player.
