How do I watch videos?

To watch any video on tangle, simply click on the thumbnail picture or the title of the video. It will automatically begin to play. When you're finished watching, you can either replay the video or find another to watch.

What should I do if I can't see the videos?

Chances are you need to install Flash 8 or higher. This version will allow you to view videos on tangle. Download Adobe Flash Player now.

What video formats should I use when uploading videos?

We're so happy you want to share your video(s) with us and with millions around the world! We accept videos in the following formats: 3gp, mp4, mov, asf, flv, mpg, avi, wmv and rm.

Here is a list of free programs to encode your videos:

I am uploading a video and there is a box for "tags." What are tags?

Tags are how your videos get discovered on tangle. Put simply, they are keywords that allow users to search for your videos. Whenever someone types one of your tags into the search field, your video will be presented in the search results. This is arranged by how closely their search matches your tags, so make sure you are as specific and detailed as possible with these keywords!

Can I download videos from tangle?

Not quite yet. However, we do encourage you to add your favorite tangle videos to any website you want! When you view a video, there is a box next to the video screen that says Embed. Copy the code in the box and paste it into the section of your site where you want the video to play.

How can I send the link of a video to someone?

That's awesome! Sharing videos is exactly the kind of tangle spirit we like to see! To share a video, click the Email this Video link above the video. Enter the email address of the recipient in the appropriate field. Be sure to include a brief message so they know what you are sending, then click Submit and it's on its way!

Another way to share a tangle video is by simply copying the link to the video's tangle page from your browser's address bar and pasting it into emails and instant messages.

How does tangle monitor video content?

All videos are reviewed before being uploaded to tangle. This ensures that every video is safe and family friendly for everyone to enjoy. This also allows us to filter spam and any misleading videos before they reach your computer. If you find any offensive material on our site, please contact us and let us know.

How do I upload a video to tangle?

To upload a video to tangle.com, use the following procedure:

1. Log in or register with tangle.
2. In the tangle header, click the Upload button.
3. Choose the Video button. An upload field will appear below.
4. Now click the Browse button and choose the video file you want to share.
5. Click Upload. You'll be able to keep track of the uploading status of your video by watching the status bar on the page. Once your video is approved, it will appear on your Individual page. Please give our admin. team time to review the video before it appears on your page.

What stance does tangle take regarding copyright issues?

We desire to maintain the integrity of tangle through our own Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Copyright Policy. If you believe you are the copyright holder of a video that has been posted to tangle.com by one of our users, please contact us immediately. We will take all the appropriate steps to correct the situation provided by law according to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998.

How do I report inappropriate videos?

If you see a video that you think is inappropriate based on our Terms of Use, you can report it to us for review by contacting us.

It is our hope that the tangle community as a whole appreciates our Terms of Use and assists us in policing the site for inappropriate content (similar to other open Internet communities like eBay and craigslist). Your vigilance combined with our proprietary technology helps us to enforce our community standards.

How do I change the order of the videos in my playlist?

Playlists are currently available for Group, Church, Ministry and Band pages. To rearrange your playlist, start by going to your group profile:

1. In your media player, click the Edit Playlist link located at the bottom right corner of the video player window.
2. From here, simply click on each video and drag it into the position on your playlist you would like it to occupy.
3. Continue this process until your playlist is arranged exactly like you want it.
4. Be sure to click Save Playlist Order when you are finished and you'll be able to see your updated playlist.
